I feel like the Susan Boyle of comedy.

I'm not cool. I can't dress. I'm broke. I'm fat. My hair is a mess. And sometimes people who don't know me laugh AT me or look upon me with doubt that I have any value...until I get on stage. Then I get lucky, not always but often, and people laugh WITH me. All of a sudden we're best friends forever. I am the underdog people want to root for. I just wish I could sing, because I feel like that is much easier to confirm talent than with comedy. I can't tell all the time when my jokes are off-key. Plus I have to actually practice in front of an audience, at open mics and the like. I am not conceited or full of myself. I know I have a long way to go to being really good at stand up.  I am willing to do the work. Well, I am considering it at least.

Anyway, some writer gave this show I was in a great review and if I wasn't Black you could see me blushing. You know someone likes you when they call you "zaftig" instead of just calling you fat. Thanks Boo! Love you too.

Here's the link to the article. Thanks Utica!
